Andrew leads the Structured Finance team within Financial Sector Corporate Finance at Grant Thornton in London. He specialises in Structured Finance, Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory Services. He also has significant experience in Transaction Services and Extended Assurance work.
Andrew is a UK Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) specialising in Banks, Financial Institutions and Treasury Divisions in the Structured Finance, Corporate Finance and Transaction Services space.
Andrew has over 25 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained at Grant Thornton and within the Big 4 firm environment. He has also worked in the banking industry in Hong Kong and Singapore. Currently based in Grant Thornton London, Andrew has worked overseas on short term assignments across Europe (mainly Russia and Germany) and the Middle East (Bahrain, Dubai, Morocco), and longer employment in the Far East (Hong Kong and Singapore).
Most of Andrew’s career has been in a Big 4 environment (KPMG and EY) but he spent some of his career as Chief Internal Auditor at DG Bank in Hong Kong and as Financial Controller at Bayerische Landesbank in Hong Kong in order to gain banking industry experience. He now leads the Structured Finance team at Grant Thornton within the Corporate Finance practice.
Andrew has constantly specialised in corporate finance, transaction and advisory assignments in financial services companies operating in the banking, fund management and insurance space. He acted in the capacity of Associate Director at KPMG London before moving to EY as a Director in 2007 and securing promotion to Executive Director in 2012. He moved to take a senior role at Grant Thornton in 2017.
Andrew’s most recent roles have covered the winning of securitisation, structured finance and corporate finance work through competitive tender, deploying teams to deliver the assignments to his clients, and developing his transaction teams within Grant Thornton, KPMG and EY.
